Hey Sanderso,

Sad now thats not a good lookc. How long before it locks up? Does it matter if the server is running?

It happens immediately after running one of the commandlines. The game servers runs well, but serverdoc crashes.

What's wrong?

Windows XP Professinal running as admin.

I just want to add that it didn't happen before. I'm using serverdoc for like three years now and I never had such problems.

Is it possible you can copy the directory to a 2nd machine (XP pro) and test?

I seem to recall someone having issues as the OS had gone wonky (fixed by reinstall - ofcourse not a decision to take lightly so need to test on other machine(s))

Well there are several serverdocs working on this server. Just two of seven serverdoc instances have this problem. I tested it with different versions of serverdoc, but all of them crash.

You can set one setting and when you click run, the game server starts well but serverdoc crashes and you can't reach the remote interface anymore.

Okay I just figured out that the other serverdoc instances run at version V0.97b03 without any problem. But when I replace one of the two serverdocs at V1.0.06 (which crash all the time) by V0.97b03 I get alot of error messages like this:

And the remote interface doesn't work with V0.97b03 and this wwwrotate.dat, it says:

Code:
*SDROTATEDROPBOXFRIENDLY* Command: Serverdoc Loaded - Please select an option

So maybe there is a bug working with the wwwrotate.dat file, because not a single version of serverdoc works with it.

I uploaded it: http://www.2shared.com/file/7369498/4283528a/wwwrotate.html

Looks like wwwrotate.dat is not the problem - I was able to attempt to run a number of the commands (my template.html only contained *SDROTATEDROPBOXFRIENDLY*). Are you able to zip the serverdoc folder up so I can run it here in the same configuration to test templates etc?

Maybe also try:
http://www.serverdoc.com/temp/wwwrotate.dat
(its 350 notepads in wwwrotate.dat)

Note: V0.97b03 - Due to the large wwwrotate.dat:
Quote:
Serverdoc V1.00
Added updated query protocol for hlds.exe
Fixed bug if wwwrotate.dat was > 200 lines

I can zip the full game server folder if you want. Would be like 700MB, you want it?

It crashes also with Notepad....

I know. I was the one who told you about this bug Smile I'm just saying that the other server (with less commandlines) works well with V0.97b03 and that's why I've tested it with that version either.

As its crashing with notepad I wont need the game folder, just the serverdoc folder + config folder. Thanks.

Actually I've just zipped up a test thats working fine here:
Extract this zip http://www.serverdoc.com/temp/vash.zip
Then run serverdoc.exe (If you are using port 18003 then change it in wwwconfig.cfg first)
Browse to ipaddress:18003
user/pass me me
Try run the notepads..

Here we go:

I'll test your files right now. By the way: Do you have Xfire dude?

EDIT: Your package crashes ... Sad

And yours is working fine on multiple XP Pro installs here Sad

No I do not have xfire.

One think you could try but I doubt it will help, is disable extra checking
(menu - config - general - tick disable extra checking checkbox).

Are you able to access a 2nd XP Pro box to test?

Hello, I have same problem, on version 1.00.07, on previous versions it was ok. I upgrade to 1.00.07 and install OS update (MS W Server 2008 SP2 64bit) from 12.09.2009 (KB967723 and KB971961) and server doc crashes or hangs on white screen and i canīt login to remote admin (time up).

Anny idea?

Thanks

Hi Kiki,

VAsH is now running version 98b01 (special build - with a later fix for massive rotate files). What version was last working for you?
