sort of a loop of msgs that you can get out of by clicking many times

seems to work for some, waits for me to click for msgs, then all seems to work, this is all after a restart

11 server docs, 11 shortcuts in startup folder
start menu -> all progs -> startup
V1.00.04, same thing butt diff lines in v0.99b03
donation version
windows 2000 sp4

game: left for dead
cmd line: specify ip but not port, it auto picks ports available 27015,27016,27017.... does it need to have port in cmd line to do query checking?

RE: errors please give serverdoc write access to the "start up" folder.

If you want query checking yes its best you put the port in - though query support for left for dead does not yet exist, can you please supply full command line? Smile thanks.

this is a single account computer, everything runs as admin, the permisions have not been tweaked,

there is no read only flag on the shortcuts in startup(or the folder), same goes for C:\serverdoc which contains the exe/cfgs

left 4 dead is a source/half-life-2 mod

10 l4d servers scattered over 4 ips(.11 - .14), one tf2 server on its own ip(.10), will get around to setting ports later

samples:

C:\serverdoc\serverdoc.exe X:\l4d\srcds.exe -console -game left4dead -ip 123.224.117.11 +map l4d_airport01_greenhouse +hostname "asdf"

C:\serverdoc\serverdoc.exe X:\l4d\srcds.exe -console -game left4dead -ip 123.224.117.11 +map l4d_airport01_greenhouse +hostname "asdf"

C:\serverdoc\serverdoc.exe X:\l4d\srcds.exe -console -game left4dead -ip 123.224.117.14 +map l4d_airport01_greenhouse +hostname "asdf" +sv_search_key ah

tf2 server
C:\serverdoc\serverdoc.exe X:\tf2 servers\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -ip 123.224.117.10 -port 27015 -maxplayers 32 +map blah +servercfgfile server2.cfg

In the shortcuts what is the "start in" folder set to? This is where serverdoc will be trying to write the .PID file (without permissions to)

All serverdocs are using the same "start in" folder? - That is not "normally" done as the web etc configs would be the same. That is no reason it shouldn't work though so I'll make some changes so it works ok if it is set up that way.

(tic tic tic)
Ok - download lastest .exe (.05) and see how it goes.

Hi sanderso

The updated .exe resolved our problems - many thanks for your help! We don't use the web portion of serverdoc so running 11 instances from the same directory works for us.
