Hi,

when starting a murmur server with serverdoc it doesnt work if the murmur server has a superadmin password set.

Under windows when u set a superadmin password and start murmur you got a pop up saying your password was set but if you dont manually click that popup to close it then murmur does not start.

Is there a way server doc autocloses that popup? that would be a gd feature as murmur is getting very popular.

Here os the screenshot :

Sry idk what u mean by "a dump in serverdoc" if u tell me clearly what it is i ll sure do it.

You can get latest murmur 1.1.8 for windows here : http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mumble/Mumble-1.1.8.exe

This is a full package including server (murmur) and client (mumble).

Murmur is getting very popular as its free and high quality so if serverdoc could run it that would be a +

Besides the fact i had to click the button u can see on screenshot, the program was restarted every5 seconds, probably a query problem.

Hi Dust,

Ive tried to use the command line you used but as soon as I click ok the server closes - this is without using serverdoc. Any ideas?

It would seem using that command option you are using does make it quit - "-supw Set new password for the user SuperUser.....murmur will set the password in the database and then exit."

Actually after reading pages about murmur I foudnd this :

the murmur.exe -supw password

is required to set up a superadmin password (here "password"). And without it lets say murmur is useless as you cant create channels etc.

But this command ONLY sets a superuser password. You then have to run murmur.exe to start the server.

A bit weird but then idk if that would be possible for serverdoc to handle this program ; it owuld have to :

start murmur.exe with the -supw command
then "click" on the popup to close it
and finally start murmur.exe

If your always changing the password yes but if your using the same P/W it only has to be done the once. So manually set the P/W once on install then use it as per normal.

indeed but also wanted to let ppl change their password.

I solved it with a custom bat killing the process and starting it again.

Thx for your time.
